Ce livre est le premier Rikai (manuel) du niveau lmentaire (A2) et est complt par le livre de Katsud (Activits de communication). Marugoto : Japanese Language and Culture est une srie de manuels scolaires dits par la Japan Foundation et bass sur le JF Standard for Japanese Language Education qui offre des comptences d'apprentissage de la langue et de la culture japonaise. La srie Marugoto se compose de six niveaux : A1, A2, B1, B2, B2, C1 et C2. Chaque niveau peut composer un ou plusieurs volumes. Chaque mthode se compose de parties qui peuvent tre incluses dans le mme livre ou dans des livres spars : Rikai (manuel) et Katsud (activits de communication). Rikai (Textbook), galement connu sous le nom de Rikai : Coursebook for Communicative Language Competences, rpond aux besoins des tudiants d'assimiler les caractres, le vocabulaire, les structures grammaticales, les modles de phrases et la comprhension de la lecture. Katsud (Activits de communication), appel Katsud : Coursebook for Communicative Language Competences, forme la capacit de l'tudiant converser et renforcer la communication fluide.
